Recently, Hangzhou Institute of innovation, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (Yuhang), a joint UAM laboratory, was officially established! Cao Shumin, Secretary of the Party committee of Beihang, Zhang Zhenfeng, member of the Standing Committee of Hangzhou municipal Party committee and Secretary of Yuhang District Party committee of Zhejiang Province, and other leaders successively visited the laboratory.

In order to give full play to the advantages of Hangzhou Antwork and Beihang Hangzhou Innovation Research Institute (Yuhang) in technological innovation and market operation industrialization, the joint laboratory promotes the landing and standardization construction of urban air mobility industry, and helps the rapid development of Hangzhou urban low altitude pilotless aviation demonstration area.


We hope to rely on the joint laboratory, give full play to the advantages of school enterprise cooperation, realize resource sharing, jointly carry out personnel training, promote the technical ability of both sides, and achieve win-win cooperation.

Professor Luo Xiling, who is in charge of the preparation of the Civil Aviation College of Sino French University of Aeronautics (Preparatory), took the lead in participating in the joint laboratory work. Professor Luo Xiling's national team includes 2 academicians, 3 Changjiang Scholars, 3 winners of national fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 3 leaders of ten thousand talents program, 1 national famous teacher, 1 national teaching team and 3 National Science and technology innovation teams. It is the first innovation research group of NSFC, the first innovation team of Ministry of education and the first innovation team of key fields of Ministry of science and technology.

Zhang Lei, CEO of  Antwork,  said at the scene: "this time, we will join hands with the Beihang team to establish a joint laboratory, which will focus on exploring the field of urban air mobility, refine engineering requirements into academic paradigm, generalize academic achievements into engineering examples, help Beihang students learn advanced technology in scientific research and engineering, promote technical achievements to form industry standards, and take the lead in landing in Yuhang, Hangzhou Application."

As an important part of urban mobility, urban air mobility has been widely concerned in recent years. Urban air mobility management aims to establish a flexible UAV operation airspace management system based on urban environment optimization, build urban drone management framework, and build a platform for urban drone management. As a technology company dedicated to the construction of urban air distribution network, Antwork won the world's first urban drone delivery operation license issued by Civil Aviation Administration in 2019. At present, Antwork drone delivery has been applied in the field of urban medical delivery and intra city real-time distribution, with more than 200 routes and more than 100000 kilometers running.

The joint laboratory has been working since it was approved in March this year. The two sides will jointly invest more than 20 people to participate in the laboratory work.

The primary goal of this year is to develop the urban low altitude integrated drone operation command and management platform, build the urban low altitude drone operation database, and develop the urban low altitude integrated drone operation intelligent management platform based on low altitude airspace multi factor package.
