In April 2022, a new round of epidemic transmission chain spread in China, affecting multiple cities and causing a sudden increase in demand for nucleic acid testing. In order to improve the efficiency of nucleic acid transportation and optimize the timeliness of nucleic acid testing, Antwork has assisted Affiliated Hospital of Jiangnan University in opening a drone sample transportation route between the north and south hospital areas, and pressed the acceleration button for the transportation of test samples.

The north and south wards of Affiliated Hospital of Jiangnan University are separated by 11 kilometers, and conventional ground transportation takes 20-30 minutes. After air sample transportation through drones, it is not limited by ground traffic conditions and does not require driving operators, achieving fully automatic point-to-point operation. The operation time is only about 10 minutes, improving efficiency by over 50%, greatly reducing transportation time, labor costs, and the risk of secondary infection. At the same time, the customized nucleic acid transfer box inside the drone has functions of constant temperature, humidity, and leakage prevention, ensuring that the test samples are in a constant temperature controlled state and meet the transportation requirements.

This route is operated by the Antwork TR7S medical drone. As a classic model of Antwork delivery drone, the TR7S has undergone tens of thousands of flight missions and can operate in environments with moderate rain, snow, and strong winds below level 6. This model has the characteristics of high deployment efficiency and strong compatibility with ground environments, and can be quickly executed under strict deployment conditions. The maximum load capacity of the product in the mission is 4 kilograms, and it can fly about 18 kilometers with full load. It can be recharged by replacing the battery to quickly put into the next operation.

It is reported that the transportation route recently opened by Affiliated Hospital of Jiangnan University will also be used for rapid transportation of other test samples in the future, facilitating the sharing of sample testing pressure between the north and south hospitals, and bringing a better medical experience to the people.

At present, multiple provinces and cities in China have issued standardized nucleic acid testing requirements. Residents in provinces and cities need to provide nucleic acid testing results ranging from 24 to 48 hours in order to enter and exit various public places. This is an effective means of maintaining social stability and a direct test of the efficiency of standardized testing and epidemic prevention. The transportation of detection samples through the rapid ant medical drone operating network can be deployed near multiple scattered collection points at the same time, and achieve random response and efficient transportation of nucleic acid detection samples, without occupying other daily transportation resources. It is a new type of transportation method with low energy consumption and high efficiency.

According to actual operational data, the transportation volume of nucleic acid testing samples on a single route of the rapid ant medical drone operating network can exceed 2000 pieces per day.

With the gradual deepening application of delivery drones in the medical system, Antwork delivery network has covered multiple provinces and cities, with a total of over 100 routes. In the context of epidemic prevention and control, it provides professional and convenient medical material transportation services for hospitals. Antwork is gradually deepening cooperation with more hospitals and related institutions, expanding the radiation range of medical institutions, helping people's livelihood development, and bringing convenience to more people.
