The "low altitude economy" has entered the national planning for the first time and is of symbolic significance. Urban air traffic, as an important scenario of low altitude economy, has become a focus of global technological competition and a key development direction in China during the 14th Five Year Plan period. It is urgent to carry out systematic exploration, technological breakthroughs, and practical applications.

In order to promote the development of the urban air traffic industry in Zhejiang Province, on March 3rd, under the guidance of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Transportation and the Zhejiang Civil Aviation Safety Supervision Bureau, more than thirty units including Zhejiang Transportation Vocational and Technical College, Hangzhou Antwork Technology Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang General Aviation Industry Development Co., Ltd. jointly initiated the establishment of the Zhejiang General Aviation Industry Urban Air Industry Alliance. The establishment of industry alliances can effectively gather leading forces in the industry, lead innovative research and application in the urban air transportation industry, work together to solve the problem of traffic congestion in large cities, reshape the pattern of urban transportation, and make due contributions to the construction of a "high-level transportation strong province" and the creation of a modern transportation service system.

At the same time, the Urban Air Traffic Operation and Control Technology Laboratory jointly built by Antwork Technology and Zhejiang Transportation Vocational and Technical College has been unveiled and established. The laboratory will be dedicated to exploring and applying urban air traffic operation and management technology.

In the alliance's work plan, it is proposed that the alliance will establish various mechanisms to create a communication platform for various parties in the urban air transportation industry, focusing on building industrial ecological clusters, promoting collaborative innovation between industry, academia, research and application, promoting industry standard construction, promoting industry talent cultivation, and promoting scenario application expansion. The alliance will focus on common industrial issues, jointly explore new models and mechanisms for the application of vertical industries in three-dimensional transportation, and promote talent chains The innovation chain, funding chain, service chain, and industrial chain are synergistically coordinated, and international cooperation is widely carried out to form a global innovation cooperation platform.

With the gradual maturity of urban air traffic technology, drones, as a new trend in the future development of navigation, are gradually being applied in various fields. Urban air transportation focuses on short distance transportation within or between urban areas, achieving the transformation and upgrading of urban transportation from flat to three-dimensional; According to Morgan Stanley research, it is expected to reach a market size of $1.5 trillion by 2040.
